Featured Speaker – Scott D. Levine

Mr. Levine holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Arizona, where he received Magna Cum Laude honors. After serving as staff on the Arizona State Senate Finance Committee, he went on to obtain his law degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1992. Mr. Levine is licensed to practice law in the states of Texas and Nevada and has been representing governmental, commercial, and institutional entities since 1994. Mr. Levine served five terms as a city councilperson and was the Mayor Pro-Tem for the City of Parker, Texas. He currently serves on the Board of the North Texas Tollway Association (“NTTA”). He also serves as a Trustee for the Yavneh Academy of Dallas. He has obtained the AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, which reflects the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards reflecting the confidential opinions of members of the bar and judiciary.

Mr. Levine provides legal advice to various governmental entities in the North Texas region. Subject matters include, among others, employment issues, finance and economic development, annexation, open meetings and records, land use, zoning, ordinance and regulatory matters, utilities, fire and police, elections, and interlocal agreements. By virtue of his public service, as well as his role as an advisor, he has extensive knowledge of the day-to-day issues which face local elected officials and staff. Mr. Levine has also been requested to lecture on a myriad of topics from eminent domain to civil rights litigation. Aside from advising governmental entities, Mr. Levine routinely litigates employment disputes, tort claims, and contractual disputes. Mr. Levine regularly represents commercial clients in complex contractual and employment litigation. He also serves as insurance defense counsel on a variety of negligence and product liability claims.
