What does it mean for us as Right of Way professionals who live and work in one of the fastest growing areas of our country? The Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) metroplex is projected to reach a population of 10 million by the 2030s, surpassing Chicago to become the third-largest metro area in the United States.
Rounding out our spring series for Chapter 36, we are pleased to welcome Economic Development professionals from the Metroplex. Each of our guests can enlighten us on the unique competitive advantages DFW offers to businesses which are looking to relocate or expand. Attracting businesses translates to job opportunities, which is then reflected in population growth. This population requires city utilities, transportation avenues, schools, and healthcare resources. As Right of Way Professionals, we are bound to see an increase in transmission projects, fiber optic cable communication installations, roadway creations/realignments, pipelines for water, oil and gas, and relocation projects to accommodate these businesses coming to or expanding in DFW.
Join us on May 12th to welcome Cherie Gordon, Kevin Shatley and Christie Goodman who promote our region and bring these new businesses to our metro area!
